Dr. Thomas Andrews

Dr. Andrews specialties include reconstruction of the airway, tumors of the head and neck and endoscopic sinus surgery.

 

Dr. Andrews is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose & Throat Surgeon) with Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists.  He has been in private practice in the area for more than 20 years. He received his training in General Surgery and Otolaryngology at the University of Cincinnati. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center and spent part of his fellowship as a visiting fellow at Great Ormond’s Street Hospital in London.

 

He is a graduate of Ohio State University (BS, Microbiology) and Wright State University (M.S. Immunology). He has served as Chief of Staff of All Children’s Hospital, St. Petersburg, FL, and the Board of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He has authored several book chapters and numerous peer-reviewed publications. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and Pediatrics at the University of South Florida.

 

Dr. Andrews is President/CEO of Pediatric Ear, Nose and Throat Research Foundation, founded several years ago, to focus on clinical research in children. He is active in the community having served as Chairman of the Board of Family Resources, Inc., a non-profit organization serving children and families in need for more than 30 years. He is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Petersburg, FL.

 

His interests include cycling and swimming and he has completed four Ironman triathlons and numerous shorter distance triathlons.
